Vesuvius Vineyards is a stately, elegant and historic wedding destination. Located in Iron Station, NC, it is a sight to behold. We had never visited, but had seen the Vesuvius Vineyards booth at the most recent Bridal Showcase this past January in Charlotte. This was a hot day. We got to this wedding early to take establishing shots of the exterior with our glider. It may have been hot, but it was picturesque. The grounds were perfect. The grass was the greenest of greens. It was quite a lawn. We knew Charliann because I was her student teacher at Southlake Christian Academy when she was a junior in high school. She later went to Erskine College at the same time as my little sister. We knew many of the guests and bridesmaids. The bride and groom were very relaxed all day. Photos were easy and fast thanks to Melissa Ragan! She does a great job getting all the shots she needs, but getting the wedding party back into the A/C as soon as possible.
Things cooled off for the reception and the wedding party danced the night away. They departed under a gauntlet of sparklers and cheers from friends and family. The perfect ending to a picturesque and smooth wedding day.
