Ashley and William were high school sweethearts. They were in many of the same science classes together and went to prom together in Rock Hill, SC. Ten years later they wed at St Anne’s Catholic Church. Their reception was at the grand Magnolia Room at Laurel Creek. We enjoyed working with our fellow local wedding vendors. We have seen Penny Young at wedding shows through the years, but this was our first opportunity to work with her and her daughter at a wedding. Penny is fast, efficient and in this case had been taking photos of the groom’s family since the siblings were all children. William’s dad is a local caterer as well. Everything about the day went smoothly. The weather could not have been better and the couple said “I do!” After dating for 10 years they both were ready to settle down. William took a job as a chemical engineer with Exxon-Mobil and Ashley just graduated as a medical doctor from MUSC in Charleston. They had a great day and enjoyed dancing and spending time with friends and family. We liked how well lit the Magnolia Room was. We did not use external lights for much of the evening. Also, it was special to film a wedding in our home town since we know the locations and the parks (such as Glencairn Gardens) very well.
