Lauren and Dre have been dating for a few years. One of their passions is hiking and camping. Last summer on a trip to California, Andres proposed to Lauren at Glacier Point overlooking Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. We liked hearing their engagement story because Ashley and I honeymooned in Yosemite. This couple lives down in Florida, but Lauren grew up in Charlotte and therefore decided to have her wedding in the Queen City. People came from far and wide to stay at the Holiday Inn on College Street in Uptown Charlotte. The Holiday Inn is well-known in the city for their rooftop weddings and parties. From the roof you have unrestricted views of all the important skyline landmarks from Duke Energy to Bank of America’s Tower One. It was really convenient for the guests and vendors to have all the events of the day from makeup and hair to the reception occur in one venue. We did however take the hotel shuttle to The Green, Charlotte’s literature themed park. It is across from the Bechtler and Mint Museums. We had fun with the wedding party filming them doing cartwheels and posing for photos. Doing an urban wedding was a fun contrast for us. We enjoyed the variety of filming amongst the skyscrapers.
