Donny & Katie were married in Winston-Salem at the Davis Chapel adjoining North Baptist Hospital. Katie’s mom works at the hospital and recommended the chapel as a wedding venue. The newlyweds were initially skeptical until they saw the location. The hospital has been built around the stone building in the years since the chapel was built. It is modeled after a Tudor gothic cathedral with a hammerbeam wooden ceiling and refined stained glass. Their reception followed at the Bermuda Run Country Club. They had delicious reception food, including mouth-watering fruit and cheese plates. Then delicious burgers and fried chicken as entrees. The guests enjoyed the laid back, but still formal affair. Dancing commenced and the floor was well populated by Katie’s bridesmaids. They danced with abandon to many a fun crowd pleaser. (Their DJ was Triad DJ & Events). We particularly enjoyed the view from the clubhouse, the cool November weather and working with the photographer (McCardell Photography) and wedding coordinator (Jamie Rogers Southern).
