Ashley Lark and Daniel Heath were married in Pickens, SC on a sunny Saturday in May, 2011. Daniel and the boys had a great time the night before the wedding at the Lark family lake house. The photographer, Davey Morgan, and I had the chance to check out the “Man Cave” on Lake Hartwell. It was pretty sweet! They had just come in from swimming when we arrived and were laid back and relaxed. Back at the Lark’s palatial home, Ashley and her many bridesmaids prepped and primped. The setting in the backyard was beautiful with an arbor adorned with many yellow, white and blue flowers. They did a nice job branding the wedding. From the hand-painted signs, picture frames hanging from thistle rope, white benches with blue plaid hand sewn pillows to the antique pickup truck and decor – this wedding could have been straight out of Southern Living Magazine or Carolina Bride. It was a romantic ceremony with music played that was prerecorded and performed by Daniel and Ashley. Ashley’s grandfather married the couple as he had many other family members.
The reception that followed was in their pasture. The large white tent was festooned with many glowing spherical paper lanterns. It made for a great effect. The dinner was catered by one of the best Greenville restaurants, Smoke on the Water. The evening was picturesque. My Ashley and I really enjoyed filming this day and getting to know the wedding party. Daniel and Ashley are a good Christian couple. Daniel is a youth pastor at First Baptist Church in NC and attended seminary at Campbell University. We wish them every happiness as they begin their life together. It was truly a pleasure getting to know them and their family. We met up with the couple prior to the wedding to get to know them at Falls Park in Greenville.
