Shauna & Travis

Travis decided to hire a videographer relatively recently. He happened to call us while Ashley and I were on vacation in Las Vegas. I remember sitting at a Starbucks on Fremont Street taking the call on a morning in mid-October. Thankfully we were free, because it was a well-planned, beautiful Christmas themed wedding. They were wed at Liberty Baptist Church in Thomasville, NC. We met up with Shauna and her bridesmaids mid-morning at Chevalrie Salon in High Point, NC. They seemed to be a close-knit group. At the church, we learned in the bride and groom interviews that they became engaged on Top of the Rock in New York City. Travis recreated many of the set pieces from Home Alone 2: Lost In New York. They went to the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, rented a limo and stayed in the Plaza Hotel.

The church sanctuary was decorated with aplomb. Everything went well. We appreciate churches with real stage lighting for evening services. It makes the subjects pop and brings additional contrast to the ceremony footage. The reception was held at Twelve West Main, also in Thomasville. Their food was excellent and they departed late in the evening with close family and friends present. Naturally they took off in a stretch limo.
