We have filmed a number of wedding movies at the Madren Center on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, SC. The venue is one of our favorite places to shoot. The air conditioned ballroom is great for wedding receptions and the outdoor pavilion provides great lighting opportunities for wedding ceremonies. Our stay there was very comfortable and the meal we ate at Season’s on the Lake was exquisite. Clemson liked our wedding trailers and currently uses them to promote their facility. I really like they have them displayed here: http://www.clemson.edu/centers-institutes/madren/conference/weddings/ This past spring Ashley and I were approached by their directors to make a commercial to promote the location. We had a great weekend in April spent filming a golf tournament on the Walker Course, an alumni event and a food service convention. I returned later in May to capture additional footage for the three minute spot.
My goals were to tie the Madren Center to Clemson University with imagery of Tillman Hall and Death Valley. It is really only minutes from campus and the center of town. The ad copy prose needed to be welcoming and warm. We eventually went with the “There is a place…” motif. I think it works well with Dyana Daniels reading it. She hosts the “Your Day” SC state radio show. We loved working for Clemson and really enjoyed editing this piece. Later this summer we will produce a shorter spot for a cable golf channel showcasing more of our course footage.
